CCJs after bankruptcy

I declared bankruptcy in Dec 2006. I was discharged early and have no problems since. I have recently viewed my credit report for the first time since the bankruptcy. I have a CCJ against my name that was issued a month after my bankruptcy date.
Obviously this should never have happened as the debt was included in my bankruptcy. I had moved house before it was issued so this is the first I had heard of it.
The problem now is that no one seems to know what to do. The credit agency are unable to give me any details regarding the CCJ, they can only tell me the date it was filed.
My O R says it is nothing to do with him and he can't help at all. He said it was a court matter and referred me to the bankruptcy clerk at the high court.
The bankruptcy clerk said he can't deal with any individual cases and referred me back to the OR.
The OR again said he couldn't help as the judgement had already been made and it wasn't his problem, his job was done. Referred me back to the High Court.
I honestly don't know where to go now. Obviously this CCJ won't go away unless its dealt with, but I don't know who to contact. Any advice at all?

Do you know which creditor obtained the CCJ? might be worth trying them to avoid going round in ciccles between the court and the OR.0

I do know who the original creditor was. I tried to contact them and they said the debt had been sold on long ago and they could no longer help. I have been through four companies trying to track it down but it seems to have been sold on many times.0

OK the debt occurred before bankruptcy? Not after?
If it is before then that debt should have been covered by the bankruptcy - you may be able to get the court details, your bankruptcy details, a fee of £15 and go to your local court and have the CCJ marked as satisfied.0 -
This is a problem when debts are sold on. You really need to track down who the debt was sold on to and then on to! if that makes sense. Only when you can find which company started the court action can you get them to change the date or delete it. Good Luck this kind of thing is a pain. Don't give up it will be better to get it sorted. I almost gave up in a hunt like this, one phone call before a major breakthrough! Good Luck from natalouie0

Thanks for the advice, I'll just have to keep trying. It's just so difficult when no-one at the end of the phone wants to help.0

Let us know how you get on. I may be in a similar position and think 1 or 2 CCJs may have gone through just before my BR.

If you really want to throw the cat amongst the pigeons I would try and find every DCA where I have been contacted and advise them that I am bankrupt, any thing that sold after that date is being sold knowing that the debt can never be recovered.
So effectively, they are getting money from the other agency under false pretenses.0 -
this exactly why a BR should send all creditors and DCAs a copy of thier BO the same day they are made BR
I sent out 33 and have had no backlash over any outstanding amounts
dont wait for the OR to do it, they often havent the time.0 -

It's claimed that the lender still has to agree to that, or at least not object, even though it is covered by the bankruptcy order.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
