    If the insurer can persuade Lloyds that the money was paid to them in error then its all sorted as Lloyds will return the money. If Lloyds choose to keep it (which they can as the recall period has passed) then I doubt anyone has a clue what the outcome will be. I dont recall seeing anything similar in the FOS complaints publications.

    Redress is payable on errors that see you made financially worse off. However, the payment has gone to you and cleared some/all of your debt. So you have the money just not as you wanted it. So, you are not worse off. However, their actions mean that its been paid not where you wanted it. Its a real tough one to really give any idea of what can happen.

    If your endowment company say to Lloyds it was placed there in error then i can't see how they can keep it.

    If my bank placed 10k in my account by mistake i know they wouldn't say, our mistake and just let me keep it :confused:
