    Morning!

I've been lurking a bit. I got my mobile broadband and it is shocking. It is fine at my house, but not where I actually want to use it. Think dial-up, but slower!! I don't know much about these things, but I think it's because it's connected to a GPRS network rather than 3G. What I don't understand is, my phone gets 3G here, so why the hell can't my laptop? Both vodafone?!?! Arggh!!!:mad: I had grand plans of getting lots done, but a lot of my plans rely on internet access, so I'm kind of scuppered. Very frustrating.

Anyway, good to see you back eco. Shame things didn't work out with the ex, but you gave it a go.

Good luck to all those matched betting! Let us know how you get on. I intend to join you, once I can get a decent internet connection again .

TDQ - Are you recovering from the jet lag? Glad to be back? Can't believe that man!

I've been following your diary ShoeGal - good luck with the new plan!

Right I'm off to throw something at my computer or else just put it down and try and do something else. Sooo frustrating. I can't even look for better broadband because the connection is so slow!

    Gwenx

She's ok but obvs not very happy about the situation. I'm gonna try and get his number off her so I can call him and set him straight. I'm kind of looking forward to it as there's nothing quite like intimidating people to cheer me up :D

Qwen: that sucks about the mobile broadband, in Oz I used to get full 3G signal at work but my 3G internet barely got 1 bar and kept disconnecting. Tis a mystery...

    TDQ That is awful.
I can understand the anxiety that someone suffers because they can't get an answer, that has happened to me once and I e-mailed the lady concerned just asking her to let me know if she was Ok.
I had e-mailed her a few times and we seemed to be getting on ok, when it came to meeting (she offered to cook me a meal in her house - I said no, lets meet somewhere neutral and public first) everything went quiet, and TBH I was really quite concerned.
So I sent her an e-mail and said I'm fine if you now don't want to meet, I understand, but please just let me know if you are Ok, I'm really worried.

Turned out her dad had suffered a major heart attack and she went to be with him, 2 weeks later she was back with her divorced hubby.
    ~sigh~

Even if I had gone to find her in her home town, (which I considered TBH) No way would I have asked for the fare, it would have been my decision.

Anyway, give him 'what-for', and tell your mum there are some good ones about.

The thing is that irrelevant of what has happened he has been calling mum several times a day and being really horrible to her, she calls him "nasty man" :rotfl:

I feel bad for her because the divorce has really shocked her, she is only dating because Dad has a new woman and she feels like she has to find someone else too. So far she has just had a selection of fat old men who are weird or scary.

Report him to the dating site, and if neccessary the police, he has no reason to harrass your mum.

Divorces are crap, but often neccessary, but saying that she doesn't 'need' someone else, as we all know here, She probably feels worthless, which isn't true of course.
At least shes got someone who's there for her (thats you that is ).

Makeup, whats the betdaq offer? is it make a £25 bet and get a £25 free?

Well I'm not entirely clear. I assumed it was, I got a code for a free £25 bet but I also went through Quidco who offers £20 cashback when you deposit at least £20 and make a first bet of at least £20.

Then it said they offer each new customer a £25 free bet so wasn't sure if this was in fact completely free????? Anyway, at least should get the cashback??

    Grrrr now I'm properly angry!

My mum has been using a dating website and she was meant to be meeting a man last week. She was very ill on the day he was meant to come and in bed. He tried to ring but she couldn't get downstairs to the phone. He decided to come anyway and got a train. Obviously mum didn't meet him and now he has been phoning her and demanding that she send him the price of his train ticket!!

My mum is far too pacifist for her own good and was actually going to send him the cash even tho she can't afford to pay her bills atm! I've told her to let me speak to the !!!!!!!, if she doesn't I'm going to find his number and put the fear of God into him... how dare he harass my mum!

    AAAARGH.

TDQO - that is really awful. Especially as your Mum isn't feeling well.

He is completely out of order and hope she realises that she is under no obligation to pay for his ticket.

I hope this experience doesn't put her off internet dating (if indeed she really does want to meet someone rather than feeling she should be 'out there').

I had a dull day at work, was intending to go out and get some stuff done but then everyone else went out instead and so I had to stay in and answer the phones...I just wasn't in the mood today.

However I did manage to get a free CD / DVD rack. As I was leaving the house this morning I spotted it on the street outside a flat. It looked like it had been left there, there was a TV next to it with a sign, 'This works please take' so assume someone is moving out and can't take the stuff with them. It needs a good clean up but will be great to house some of my stuff which is lying around!! :T

And I'm off to dinner tonight with a voucher for £20 dinner for 2 people, including wine :j

Hope you all have a good day and I hope your broadband miraculously recovers Gwen!!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Yeh I'm glad I'm back now to watch out for her... I heard the door bell earlier and was a polish bloke giving her a "free" raffle ticket which was part of a scam, I told him to !!!! off and slammed the door in his face. The cheeky !!!! then spent 5 mins tapping on the door... only my mum being there stopped me from opening it and punching him in the face! I'm so angry today!

I have managed to trap my wages in my aussie bank account too.. to cut a long story short I have no card to withdraw it from an ATM and can't transfer it over the internet atm. So can't pay my rent on tuesday now.

Also my student loans are !!!!!!ed and I've just had to fill in another form and my mum has to send off another load of stuff. I won't get my loan until the end of october at this rate!

I really, really, really want to kick someones head in right now, I'm not fussy whose it is either! ARGH!

Makeup: congrats on the free stuff, tis the best type :D

Hey there TDQO - that sounds soo frustrating and annoying. I hope you manage to sort out your aussie funds and your student loan soon.

I've managed to make a minor error with the MB stuff. Rather than lose an expected 54p I think I've lost 82p I can live with that :rotfl::rotfl:

I just need to track down my free bet so I can get on with making my millions......

    Where is everyone tonight??
I've got my own flat :j:j
