Help my Mum!!!

Ok so my mum is going to move to a smaller place with my younger brother. She has got the asking price for her house (£182k) and is going to be moving over to a flat of £150k.

She is thinking about changing her mortgage so that she can save as much as possible in the process so I thought of you guys straight away. Now I know the mortgage broker industry fairly well so I know that is a route she could go down but do any of you have any advice about what she should be looking for? She doesnt' have a huge amount left on it but obviously wants to free up as much cash as poss.

In reality she is probably going to be there less than 5 years so obviously being tied into something beyond this point will not be an option.
