I agree. It seems more of an absolute to record the total number of people working, and something like the average number of hours those people work, to allow for part time.Would be better to find out how many people ARE employed and compare that the the numberof 19-65 yr olds in the country,
If you break it down between private and public sector you then get some idea of income revenue across the populace.0 -
The question is really how many people are employed in the private sector since these are the people bringing money into the system. The public sector just recycles the money but doesn't bring any money in to the system. If too many private sector companies shut down, the !!!!!! will really hit the fan since this will lead to a drop in tax revenues which will filter down to cuts in the public sector ergo more unemployed.
Parking tickets and other PCNS?
Care home fees and profit making charges?
The NHS is charging of course to those who come from overseas?
Recycling "fines"? Fining for litter dropping?
The Inland revenue and all its guises?
I could go on all day but there are many and expanding ways in which the state gathers money and brings in income totally disproportiantately to costs- some of which dont exist - ie it does not cost the state in any way if I park on a double yellow line. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
