Trying to Lighten Demin Jacket

Hi all,
Dh has a dark blue denim jacket which i am trying to lighten for him (save money by not buying a new one)
I have washed it several times in the washing machine, but it's still the same colour.
Does anyone have any ideas on how i could do this please.

I'd say hang it on the line in the sun for a week or two. No chemicals and when it's the right colour you can bring it in!
I suppose that may not give very even coverage though so you may have to resort to bleach. Have you tried googling "Lighten demin jacket"?June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
