I've been so good this month. Too good intact because we had 1200 left after the bills were paid so I thought that's it the credit card is going! 700 paid off and acct closed. Then I thought overdraft next so asked the bank to reduce od to 2500 from 2800 and not to put it up again. Feel amazing except that had a couple of birthdays at the weekend and now we only have 60 pounds to last us till thursday next week. It's really put my blood pressure up! I've got feed me, hubby, cat and dog. Luckily don't need petrol but OH likes his fags. Plus I said I would go rock climbing at the local sports hall on Thursday which is going to cost me £11.
I don't know why I am so worried about it. I know we are blessed to only have 11K worth of debt left and 1K a month o chuck at it when there are people on here who are much worse off. I've no bayliffs at the door or areas I'm very lucky.
Wish I didn't get so stressed out

For the next couple of months I'd be tempted to save £200 - £250 as an emergancy fund
It will save the temptation to get the cards out again if things get tight or something breaks
Something I do is have a spreadsheet for the year, fill in all the bills and repayments and wages

Getting a bit stressed about the situation can be a good thing. Once you're debt free, you'll be able to look back at what you're currently going through and say to yourself, I'm never going to let that happen again.
Take the positives out of the situation - you're doing very well.

Hey FM
Getting stressed is what probably led you to want to deal with your debts properly in the first place. It's not surprising that from time to time you still get a bit of stress about your situation. This time next year you'll be able to spend a bit of that 1K a month and put some into savings as well.0 -
Lucky you - £60 has to last me all month!!!0
