Morrisons are doing quite a good deal for £9, Roast dinner including potatos, 2 veg, pud and wine.

According to the web site it is £1.14 a pound and advertised as £2.50 cost, so it makes it just over 2lbs

Do you mean the pork? It was originally £5.98, so might actually be 5lbs if the price per lb refers to original cost. A bit confusing I think - will try and have a look tomorrow and report back here if no-one else beats me to it!

whats confusing - the£5.98 refers to the KG price - which is now £2.50 per KG - the price per pound is the equivalent price....in order to get it for £2.50 you will need to find a piece exactly 1KG in weight - our local store today had NONE that size they were all around 2.5 kg making them nearly making them over 6 quid on their own - so the meal deal turned out to cost about £12.50 not £9....

What makes you think it is better value than M&S ?

I would very much doubt it.

Hi, Well I went into Morrissons this evening and I do think it is better value than M&S as its cheaper and you get more food.

It all looked good quality and I've always found Morrisson fresh veg and meat to be very good.

I am normally a big fan of M&S dine in deals, but I have my doubts on their Mothers Day one, I think it would have been better value for 4 people to have been able to do there £10 dine in meal x 2. However it is difficullt to compare it to the M&S deal as we have yet to actually see the size of their veg and puddings.

A post has been deleted, there was a post before mine asking the weight of the meat joint, perhaps I should have quoted it, but it has now been deleted, which makes it more confusing.

The original price was £5.98 per kilo, the reduce price, given as pounds (Lbs) is half that so works out at £1.14 per lb.

If the price of the joint given in the meal deal price is £2.50 (which is the price given on the site), this means the joint is just over 2 lbs in weight.
