A P46 is a form between employer and employee. She could try and ask her emplyer for a p46 which she should sign to say this is her only job. Employer should then put her on code 603L from 6 April.

  • Won’t that be misleading though considering she does still work the odd shift at her part time job? I don’t want her to end up underpaying tax!

Then she needs to ask the part time job for a P46 as well and sign that one to say this is not her only job. They will then operate BR from April.
