I got confused Breeze, I know ED is a 'he', I read one article that refers to him as 'she' but I am almost sure it is a 'he'...

I don't like that the inn is shut tomorrow :(

NNW, this was on the weatherbys website, re:exotic dancer.
...., Grade 1 winner Exotic Dancer died after suffering a heart attack following his second-placing. Jonjo O'Neill's nine-year-old collapsed upon his return to the stables.
O'Neill said: "Half an hour after the race he was just walking along in the stables when he just lay down and that was it. He was very tired coming back in off the track.
"I said to Barry (Simpson, owner's racing manager) he looked like he had run his heart out, and he looked really tired. We took the saddle off him and he went back to the stables and was OK.
"We were leading him round and Hannah, who looks after him, felt he wasn't right so we took him down to the vets, where he laid down and that was it - there was nothing we could do.
"He was a great old horse and you need those sort of horses in the yard. Winning the Lexus Chase at Christmas was my favourite day with him. He'd be the best chaser I have trained."

Can't believe this, it has hit me like Thunder ! I think it has put me off racing forever!

Aww, NNW, I wondered what you were talking about earlier when you mentioned exotic dancer had had a heart attack.
Animals affect us as much as humans, so you are well within your right to feel how you do.
    (((Hugs to you)))

Thank you Breeze xx I will copy this to OH who is also so sad about it. my heart broke reading this, esp this 'he looked like he had run his heart out' but at least this was quick and painless ...hate these fences at Aintree .

    ((((((((((((((((((((Exotic Dancer))))))))))))))))))

Sorry guys..I am not going to talk about it any more
