    Hi ktflosspot.

    I remember going to a friend's confirmation party when I was about 13/14 and was shocked at the amount of money spent - mine was much more simple, just a sunday roast with family and my bezzie mate of the time, a new bible as a present and I think a necklace or something like that. I can't believe how commercial it is.

    It's supposed to represent listening to God and doing good things on His behalf, not massive parties and spending loads of cash. Sorry, but I'm with you on this one.
