Hello.
Thought i'd share my little tip with you all (most of you probably do it) but it has given me a fabulous cook book with lots of different ideas on what to cook, and has turned me into quite an inventive cook.
I collect the free magazines that you get from Supermarkets e.g Asda Magazine, Somerfield Magazine, Tesco Magazine. These magazines contain fabulous cookery sections with fabulous recipes for starters, main courses and desserts along with how to cook on a budget. I cut out these recipes, along with other recipes that I find in other magazines, newspapers or in store (e.g Sainsbury's recipe cards). I bought some coloured card and glued these recipes onto the card and placed in plastic ring binder covers (to prevent splashing from cooking) and placed them in an A4 ring binder file. I have also bought dividers, therefore I have different sections in my folder (Light Meals/Snacks, Vegetarian, Chicken dishes, Pork Dishes, Beef Dishes, Desserts, etc ) I have been collecting recipes for a few months now and I have pages upon pages of meal ideas, and it has not really cost me anything. I find it better than buying a cookbook, as with most cookbooks there are fods that you don't like, but with making your own, you'll only include foods/recipes that you like.
Hope this helps , it has helped me.

I do someting similar - the recipes go into plastic pockets in a file. I have that on my shelf, and have a smaller folder with recipes I'm yet to try - they make it to the main folder if they're any good, or go in the recycling bin
I'll add this to How do you store your recipes? later.

Have been doing this for ages and the recipes really add up! They're out of magazines, MSE OS board and various blogs and foodie sites. I did get them organized a few months ago and that has helped a lot.
I also pick one or two that I've not done before and set myself a goal (a week, sometimes two) to get these made. Helps to add variety plus sometimes I even learn something new! :rotfl:0 -

if you are ever in doubt, use the indexed collections at the top! You can find everything worthy in there !A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
