Well done Sun Addict!
I keep meaning to go to Aldi or Lidl but they pack so scan the stuff through so fast I panic, need to get my sis to go with me - she practically lives there anyway! Well done on the walking and the not diet thing - my detox not going well, 3 days without caffiene is giving me horrendous headaches, but I will keep at it. x0 -
Well done SunAddict. I haven't done my dairy for a week or so as had a rough time, but motivation beginning to return. Look at Greenfingers threads for your planting they got some useful tips. I just got a virgin veg plot, half of my brother in laws garden and am so excited. I use my little greenhouse like yours a lot, just watch out for sluggies and snailies - my first lot of veg seeds became a very tasty lunch for them! I'm supposed to planting spuds now but its raining!

Today's exciting instalment is that I've been food shopping for a change but today it was the turn of Sainsburys! I like to live the high life in my lunchbreaks! Got a bit wet with all the rain though.
Robsmum - I've bought a ton of slug pellets in preparation. I have a pond full of frogs which are supposed to eat slugs but there's always the odd few that escape. Last year we grew lettuce for the first time and OH sprinkled slug pellets all over. I thought I'd washed the lettuce thoroughly but one stray little blue pellet appeared on OH's plate - he accused me of trying to poison him!
Walked to work again today - just got there as the rain started so that was lucky. Tonight I will be back in the gym running and squats and sit ups. I just keep thinking about that bikini. 11 weeks tomorrow and we'll be on our way! :cool2:
I've been thinking about what my plans are when I've paid off my debt and am thinking about starting off a thread on the DFW forum to see what other people are planning. If I put it down in black and white it might spur me on even more.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Bit late doing my update today - computer crashed at work so am having to update at home.
Only spent £3.13 in Wilko at lunchtime and 99p in card shop for OH's birthday card. Hope he doesn't realise how little I've spent - it's a lovely card though.
Weigh in day tomorrow so hopefully I will have lost some weight this week. Walked to work again today and when I got home I did 30 minutes weights and toning exercises in the gym.
Now to undo all the good work OH has made me a lovely pina colada which I am sipping as I write this.
Started a new thread yesterday on the DFW board about what will you do when you've paid off your debt. Can't believe it has already had 1040 views!!!!!:T
Have a brilliant weekend everyone. :beer:I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Happy Monday
Had a good weekend not spending too much only necessary things and spend some time yesterday sunbathing in the back garden (my favourite pastime). Lost the 2lbs I put on last week so am now back to square one where I was at the beginning of April. Doesn't look like I'll be completing my challenge to myself to lose 4lbs by the end of April with only 10 days to go and no way am I starving myself.
No walking to work today as I am off sick with headache and sore throat. It's the first time in about 5 years I've been off sick so they can't complain. I still feel like a Monday Morning Clubber though!
OH still has no work so far this week but is hoping to hear something today. It's so frustrating.
The only shopping I'll be doing today is a few necessary bits and bobs from the local shops if I can drag myself out. Maybe a short walk will freshen me up a bit. Hoping to sit in the sun again this afternoon with my book and do a bit of relaxing.
Have a good day everyone!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning Sun Addict,
Well done on losing 2lbs, if you continue doing whatever you did yo lose that for the next two weeks you could maybe manage another 2lbs, go on, give it a go! You can do it!
You done well not to spend anything at the weekend, I find my weekends the worst, my OH unleashed the shopping beast in me by taking me to a shopping mall to buy me an anniversary pressie. Taking something back though so don't feel so bad but still, love having NSD's. Onwards and upwards, can't be good all the time, ha!0 -
Forgot to say, hope feeling better soon - enjoy the sun, it's lovely!0

Thank you Swinstie and robsmum for get well messages. I'm still off work not feeling better yet but enjoying recovering in the sunshine. I'll end up going back to work with a brilliant tan at this rate. Missing my exercise though but I'm not eating much as I don't have much appetite and can't be bothered to move from sunlounger back to house to get anything other than water. Getting bored of feeling ill but at least I can't spend anything at the moment.
I've been cheered up today though by discovering that my thread on the DFW board about plans for when you are debt free is post of the week.:j This is an improvement on my diary in which I seem to mainly be talking to myself (first sign of madness!).
Payday on Friday but it doesn't make much difference as it's all spoken for but it means I will have to tot up my finances - which aren't in the best of shape this month due to OH being off work a lot more than normal so not earning much. However he does have work for next month so May should be a better month hopefully. At least I will be able to pay a bit off the debt just not as much as I'd hoped.
Have a great day everyone. NSD for me as I don't feel like going to local shops so another perk of being ill.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0
