Re Martin's advice on LK today this morning (Tuesday 17th March 2009) about the costs of prepayment certificates and renewing before 1st of April.
Just called my local Health Board (Highland) and was informed that the costs for the prepayment certificate are coming DOWN on 1st of April 2009. At the moment the prices are:-
12 months for £48
4 months for £17
After 1st of April 2009 the prices will be:-
12 months for £38
4 months for £13
If you can hold off until 1st April or later then you'll save up to £10.
Called this number in Aberdeen for the information just to be sure:-

Thanks for the reminder - I need to sit down and do some maths as I have some prescriptions that last for ages and some which need repeating quite frequently.
*and can we all spit in the direction of the Daily Mail which claims that prescriptions in Scotland are free, and of course subsidised by England* :rolleyes:0
