Hi I think this sounds a little costly? I have just had a quote for 7 windows and sliding patio doors for £3,700 from Safestyle! Ours are all quite big windows and are all safety glass due to closeness to ground. I am based in Cambridge, Hope this helps

I have no idea but in my unexperienced opinion, I think you would need to provide more detail to compare like for like...

For example, I have no idea what sort of front door you mean, but I like the composite ones and they can cost £800+ just for the door (no fitting)....

That sounds over the top, but hard to say how much without sizes. If you can give more details of the sizes I can give you a good idea of what you should be paying for high quality products.

    porch 50cm wide x 1m high

Obviously still only a rough guide without seeing exact styles and sizes, but i would say you should get that for around £1800.

hi, thank you for all your replies. an update to add to confusion, the next quote from another local company has come back £100 more expensive, but will be shorter to wait until its done. is it ok to negotiate in these situations, - dont want to put anyone out of business in these cash strapped times. if it is ok to haggle are there any good phrases to use ? many thanks

I would always haggle as the initial quotes or windows/doors are usually far higher than what most people pay in the end so there has to be a big margin. I would try and play the 2 companies off each other.
