Hi I think this sounds a little costly? I have just had a quote for 7 windows and sliding patio doors for £3,700 from Safestyle! Ours are all quite big windows and are all safety glass due to closeness to ground. I am based in Cambridge, Hope this helps0

I have no idea but in my unexperienced opinion, I think you would need to provide more detail to compare like for like...
For example, I have no idea what sort of front door you mean, but I like the composite ones and they can cost £800+ just for the door (no fitting)....0 -
That sounds over the top, but hard to say how much without sizes. If you can give more details of the sizes I can give you a good idea of what you should be paying for high quality products.

Thank you all. here is some more detail and then i double check measurements.
Front door is composite - half moon window with frosted glass
2 of the windows are safety glass
all windows say new exterior PVC.c.cill. they are internally beaded
sorry not very knowledgable , hope that is useful so far......0 -
back again, some measurements
front downstairs - 1m wide x 1m20 high ( safety glass, top,side opener)
porch 50cm wide x 1m high
upstairs bed 2m wide x 1m20 high ( safety glass escape hinges, 2 top openers, 2 side openers)
Thank you for any advice, really want to support the local guys, but dont want to be taken for a ride too much
Thank you0 -
Obviously still only a rough guide without seeing exact styles and sizes, but i would say you should get that for around £1800.0

thank you , feel very out of my depth here so good to get a rough idea of prices
think will try another localish company for another quote, then can compare to
thanks again for taking time to reply
have a good evening0 -

hi, thank you for all your replies. an update to add to confusion, the next quote from another local company has come back £100 more expensive, but will be shorter to wait until its done. is it ok to negotiate in these situations, - dont want to put anyone out of business in these cash strapped times. if it is ok to haggle are there any good phrases to use ? many thanks0
-
I would always haggle as the initial quotes or windows/doors are usually far higher than what most people pay in the end so there has to be a big margin. I would try and play the 2 companies off each other.0
