I have worked part-time at the same company for four years, before that I worked for a few months for a company that went into liquidation and before that I was a stay-at-home mum.
I have applied for a second part-time job (need the extra money) and have an interview on Friday. They have asked me to take details of two referees. I can take details of my line manager in my current job but I'm not sure about the second referee. Is it ok to have both referees from my current job?

If you only have your most recent employer as a reference that is the one they are most concerned about. The second one could potentially be a character reference. If you only had character references to rely upon it would be a bit more of an issue. Ideally your character reference would be from someone with some form of standing. Perhaps a friend with a professional job like lawyer, doctor, dentist, vicar, etc. Alternatively someone with their own business who can vouch for you is another good idea.0
