How many of the people you wish you were at the moment, look at you & think, gosh I wish I was her. She's so sorted. Beautiful family, happy marriage, lovely home. Always doing something, it's not fair.
You don't know how many of them look calm on the surface & are paddling like crazy below the water to stop from going under. As they don't know just what you're coping with at the moment. I know from your diary it must seem relentless, but you are managing & you are doing really well. You have proven to yourself that you are a lot more resourceful & resilient than you thought you were or needed to be. You will come out of this far stronger & more appreciative of what you have.
    Keep on keeping on.
  • CONGRATULATIONS on getting the debt down. What a change in your life - and no, it wont always be like this . One day, you will be debt free!!!!
  • Sorry things are so tough at the moment, I feel like I'm on a never ending journey, the debt just keeps going up and up. Am back from my parents now so have to seriously get listing on Ebay now.

Good luck with the bank tomorrow.

  • Brilliant news that the debt hasn't increased. Given I am also in a humungous amount of debt, I know it can seem desperate so cling like hell to the positive - that you have absolutely fought against adversity and paid money off the debt, you may have added to it short term but just imagined what the figure could be like in another 18 months time if you keep doing what you're doing.

I know you say that your husband works hard but you are working mentally hard as well with all this swimming around in your head and I think you are due a scream and a cry. Try and do something nice for yourself today, even if it's reading a book in the bath, just something that is for you.

Hope the meeting with the bank goes ok.

    2nd debt - MBNA - £6,618.52
First in many many to go - baby steps and all that!
First lump sum to go - fingers crossed!
    08/06/09 - [STRIKE]£11,497.68[/STRIKE] NOW - £9,757.75

I just want to second the above too........the rows that come from the stress are awful..I remember them...tell a lie, we still have them now and again over other non debty things :rotfl:

How's the new thing coming along?

I just thought, any chance of you going interest only on the mortage for a while...we did and it helped massively......I kept it as IO and now overpay instead...so same as repayment but flexi.

evening all... well how was today?

well it was ok... i mean just ok. started of with some snow.. unexpected.. maybe i hadnt see weather forecast but unexpected.

    then ironed.. yes again unexpected!
got the laptop all sorted for work! silly row over charger forgotten now!

then bank... now I will say this for the bank of the black horse... the lady they sent for the appointment was very genuine and seems helpful. i was honest with her, showed her my beloved spreadies, contracts of employment, cyprus figures, other figures loans, ccards and explained how we got to here. to give her her dues she was thorough.. got straight on to a colleague to see how she could reduce our 4 [?] scottish life products, took all the information, realised at once that she couldnt cope with this alone and setup a meeting for her and her boss to deal with ... great.. i believe if there is anything she can do then i fully believe and trust that she will deliver. however down side, i will not be able to find out anything till thursday, then it will be too late in the day to save february - february is DOOMED! and also it maybe that she cant do anything - due to our circumstances. its still an open case and there is still hope! thre is nothing she can offer in the short term though as we have to go out to underwriters etc etc as per usual

sooooo i suspect she thought i was a loony ... dont really care... believe she can help us ... fingers crossed she can.

    tomorrow is WORK! xxxxx

im going to relax this evening... how about u?
    mazie sent u a pm.

  • Oh gosh MrsC,

Guess what we are looking for this very minute? Yep, laptop charger! Guess who had a funny turn last week? Yep, me! I had a total blow out, everythings unfair, nobody cares about me, i cant cope, yadda, yadda, two very white little faces looking back at me. Sometimes I think its the being outnumbered by males. (Do you have a DD?) Only two to one here but the toilet seat being left up all the time is going to be the last straw one of these days.

But you know what, I did feel much calmer afterwards. I hope you are feeling a little bit better for it and that today has gone well.
