There is £2.75 worth of coupons in the current "Tesco" in-store magazine. All but one – the Pilgrim's Choice cheddar 30p one – are Tesco specific.

Can these be used as if they were "NSS" coupons i.e. redeemed against your shopping, irrespective of whether you buy any of the advertised items? The numbers below the bar-codes all begin with "99".

I've seen the warning on the "Supermarket Coupons" page that coupons in store magazines often have to be used on the advertised product, but wondered if Tesco are in any way different?

Be careful about the Organic 30p Coupon.....It does not scan sometimes if you buy Organic Produce but take the coupon to the CS desk and they give you 30p anyway!! They know about it and so all you have to do is show receipt and they give you 30p out of the till.:j

I bought the Tesco Organic Pasta and it refused to scan on that, they also have Organic Chestnut mushrooms on special offer atm but Numpty me forgot to try the coupon on that visit

I think this is probably because 'produce' generally means fruit and veg, ie 'fresh farm produced' items, though it may work on milk etc if you are lucky! HTH........;)

Oh well I will keep buying the pasta which I buy anyway and taking the receipt back to CS!!

i have been checking the reduced section in fruit and veg everyday , i have had some good bargains on reduced organic using the 30p coupon
