I wanna buy high thread count white linen sheets...................

which don't crease so badly that they need washed/ironed every single day.

I have always bought the highest thread count that I could afford (having been taught this by my mother) however have found recently that whilst my sheets are fab when they are freshly laundered by next morning they are crumpled beyond belief. We aren't restless sleepers so I can't understand why they are creasing so badly. I simply don't have the time to launder them any more than twice a week but they look dreadful between times.

Can anyone recommend good quality linen sheets (pref with a satin stripe) which are high thread count but behave a little better. Alternatively if there are any hotel chambermaids/laundry people out there with tips I'd welcome them.

Thanks

QVC - northern nights range is fantastic quality, though it is 100 % cotton with a very high threadcount.
Maybe worth a look to see if qvc stock linen.
Can thoroughly recommend the northen nights range though.
I know quite a few people on here recommend them too.

I love Sherdian stuff (and love this site:http://www.dawsonsdepartmentstore.co.uk/justlinen/sheridan-bedlinen.asp) - their Millenia range is superb - I have this on my bed as we speak http://www.dawsonsdepartmentstore.co.uk/justlinen/product.asp?design=541&dept=3&category=1 It is really soft (1000 thread count - and you can really feel it!) and doesn't crease (and I don't iron it at all as I'm quite lazy!!!) - I'm a bit of a bedlinen addict but have never found better quality than Sheridan.

You can also buy Sheridan in larger Debenhams and House of Fraser but its a bit more expensive I think unless you get lucky in one of their sales.
  • Thanks for the link - I've looked at the Sheridan range in HoF from time to time but they never seemed to have a plain white with a satin stripe however there is one on the Dawson's website. I'm impressed with their prices - is the 20% off the Millenia Snow range fairly typical of the discount or is that likely to be a limited offer? (I noticed there was a bigger discount on other ranges but I really liked this one!)

They up the discount when the ranges become discontinued but I guess more people will tend to order the white one - so hence the reason why the discount isn't as much as for the other colours - there are always discounts on most ranges. They do have 15% off offers about every 3 or 4 months - might be worth waiting for that. Sign up to their newsletter and then you'll be emailed when its on. The last 2 were 15% off anything.
  • someone previously suggested Kings Of Cotton, their website has an extensive range, hope this helps
