I've had my eye on one of these knife blocks for a while. Seems like a good bargain.

thanks OP , seems like a good price, may treat myself as 2 of my knives have broken in the past week and i've a new kitchen on order which desrves a new knife set!
cheapest elsewhere is around £63.

The downsides mentioned in the reviews were that:

1) It's plastic

2) It's about 16" high

Thanks, I've been wanting one for ages. I'm not sure they've ever been as expensive as £150 though.

We have one of these (in red) and whilst the holder is GREAT and lots of fun, always gets commented on by people visiting, I wouldn't recommend the set for anything more than about £20 to people as the knives are such poor quality - they go blunt almost instantly and one of ours has bent at the tip, which seeing as we haven't put them through any great stresses (we are nice and careful with our things ) it really shouldn't have.

(We got ours free btw as I won a load of vouchers for IWWOT website and got it with some of those).
