Perhaps you would like someone to explain National Hunter to you?

I probably know more about MCL Software and Hunter 2 than you do Bernie...and telling people they can "kiss goodbye to most forms of paid employment" if they have a fraud conviction is laughable. You clearly havn't much experience in this field.
Having said that I wouldn't recommend fibbing on a credit application unless you know what your doing! ;-)0 -

To be honest, if you've been able to apply for things since then, I think you'll be OK. They've only really started to tighten things up relatively recently.
But it's a point worth thinking about - how many genuine people with good credit histories might be getting turned down for further credit because they do exactly the same kind of thing? Makes you wonder.....

Check your PMs for an explanation. Been in this field for 18 years.Having said that I wouldn't recommend fibbing on a credit application unless you know what your doing! ;-)

Well I know nothing about the legal aspects but I do know someone who was caught out having lied on an application form for a loan.
First reaction was to demand immediate repayment with threats of prosecution. This was impossible so the application was re-evaluated and the loan was converted to one at a much higher APR and interest backdated at that rate. I don't know the numbers but I recall it was a nasty sting.
