Convert Gift Vouchers to Cash ?

Just finished a contract and as a leaving present was given nigh on £200 in Boots vouchers. My question is - is there anyway of realising near their face value in cash ? Boots is not a store I spend much in - it would take several years to spend that in Boots following my normal spend.
I have thought of buying something them returning it, to try to get the cash - would this work ?
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum - nothing seemed to cover it.

Buying and returning is unlikely to work as it will show on the receipt the vouchers and without a receipt you would get vouchers.
best bet is ebay as when you look they tend to go for an amount very near to the value.
Or hang around boots and sell them there, joke, well maybe family members etc.Nice to save.0 -
I know this is a bit naughty but why not give them to other people as birthday or christmas presents.
I collect points on pigsback and get Boots vouchers which I then put on to a gift card with a little present bought on BOGOF or with boots points to make it look a little more. And all it has cost me is the something extra.
Other wise sell on ebay.

dont forget boots sell digital cameras...electric shavers...electric toothbrushes...perfume....aftershave....beauty and health appliances hairdryer, straightners etc...travel insurance...days out etc....i would keep them even if its to give out as pressies at xmas or birthdays....do they have a short expiry date?
surely there must be something you can treat yourself or your family...0 -
i would put them on ebay - i have seen vouchers on there go very close to the voucher amount so you might get say £180 out of it - better than spending £200 in boots on stuff you dont want
or the giving them as gifts thing is an excellent idea - or use them to buy gifts for people's birthdays etc. that'll probably have everyone's pressies sorted for the year!0 -
I was once given a £20 voucher for Halfords and seeing as I don't have a car or bike I didnt have much use for it. I put it on ebay and got £19.85 for it. I wonder why people buy them for nearly the same amount they are worth?2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040
