Being in debt is pants

 I'm having a moody and sulky week. I'm SO sick of being in debt, it's been nearly a year since LBM and after the initial "joy" of dealing with my debts and seeing them slowly reduce, I'm BORED of it (stamps feet). I'm in the mood for booking holidays and having meals out and drinking wine and buying clothes and pigging out on chocolate.
Ok, I'm finished now; I just wanted to vent. Thanks for listening. Feel free to have a tantrum too. I declare this the official foot stamping thread.
Disclaimer: Yes, yes, it's my own fault I'm in debt, and I recognise I'm being childish. But I don't care
'la la la not listening'.

Thank you, fellow foot stamper. It's good to know I'm not alone...0

Me too, please can I join in and have foot stamping session. !!,,,I know what you both mean, yes its great to be paying off our debts, but it's so b****y boring sometimes.:mad:
I realise that I shouldn't be thinking about going on holiday and we would like a better car etc, but all I can say is roll on the day my debts are paid off and then we will have these things again. STRICTLY CASH......you understand, never will I have a loan or credit card again.
We both work and never have time off, and just sometimes it gets you down, but we got ourselves into this mess and we will get ourselves out of it...
If I feel the need for another grumble, I know where to come. sometimes my positivity wears thin. :T

I think it must be something in the water this week (or actually in my case PMT
!) as I have felt really down in the dumps. I feel like we take three steps forward and two back.
The biggest thing that gets me p***ed off is because if we had no debt, we would actually be really quite well off. I would even go so far as to say, I could be a stay at home mom to my little girl. Instead, I pass her over in the door to my husband as I go out to work as he comes in, which is fine, but me working evenings means that we don't see each other much. And, I can't tell you the last time the three of us sat down to dinner together. Its either me and DD, me and OH or OH and DD.
Hey ho! We got us into this mess, we will have to get us out!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
One day maybe I will be debt free

I feel the same. I'm cross today because I'm laughably close to having my final debt paid off (2 months away at most) and because of this I'm finding myself slipping off the wagon. Have spent about £30 less than my total for January and February already and it's only the 16th of the month - if I keep on like this I will have no money for overpaying this month and then my DFD will be later.
It's because the sun's coming out. We all want to go on holiday and have lovely wine with al fresco meals. Grr.
Keep at it people - we can get there! x0 -
Good point. I have PMT too - that could explain the moodiness and sulking.
I started a diet (totally wrong time of month to be doing that) this week too, which is making me even moodier. CK is just so lucky to be married to me.0 -

Well done for being so close to debt-freeness: I'm very jealous
. Now you just need to avoid that temptation to celebrate by booking a fab holiday on a credit card! 0 -
Thanks! I guess the fact that all my spending is cash only is a good thing, even if it means I can't pay off the debt as fast as I'd liked - at least I'm not getting into more debt

:rotfl::rotfl:too true fermi. To all of you who are having a 'bad' week can I just say we all get like that once and a while. However at least you now know the signs and havent went shoopping/booked the holiday. Just think after this week and when you get debt free you need not feel like this again.0
