Remortgage Process Question!!!!!

Hello, Does anyone know the process for a remortgage.
My example is: - My partner is going through a divorce, her ex has to get a remortgage to pay alimony...
Would his mortgage solicitors/conveyancers still ask for my partner solicitors bank details if they were not going to give the ex the mortgage???
Sorry this doesnt make much sense. either way would the mortgage company ask for bank details if it were to be rejected???
Thanks for your time

It's not the solicitors who will be giving (or not giving) the mortgage - that will be the mortgage lender.
I assume her ex taking on a previously joint mortgage/remortgaging to release capital for a divorce settlement?
If it's joint moving to the ex's name, the money will go through solicitors as she is selling her share to the ex. If he's releasing capital from his own property it probably doesn't need to go through her solicitor, but the best proof he's paid it is to go through the solicitor.
Either way, they could end up paying the money through her solicitor's bank account - but they'll be asking for the details whether or not the remortgage has gone through yet.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0 -
Is it likely the mortgage company will definitely take bank details of the final payee regardless of potential rejection or not???
