Received home visit card from DCA, need advice

Received a card today an an in-house DCA. Stating they have tried to contact me and have now arranged a home visit for this Wednesday. I have already sent them the standard doorstep letter, which they've obviously ignored - no surprises there, then - and have also failed to produce a proper CCA; it's one that contains the wrong address, and is blank for the rest of it.

Any advice on this? I am sending them that letter again but as it's nearly Wednesday and so on. I am concerned they may turn up and if I am not in or don't answer they may start harassing my neighbours and, in turn, creating further problems for me.

I have done everything, even had someone else write to this creditor on my behalf, and every single document has been ignored including offers of repayment.

Any advice on this card greatly appreciated.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Send a formal letter of complaint to their CEo and ring the Trading Standards nearest to their office. NOW.

Then write to the OFT who have recently taken 1st credit to task and seem to have their eyes on other DCAs.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Reported them to Trading Standards/Consumer Direct. Edited the rest, probably bit late now. Just in case. ;)

Its simply scare tactics, they have no rights at all. They are not bailiffs, and even if they were you dont have to let them in.

They will definatly not come.I had one threating the same , they said they will if come round etc. i rang the number on the card and asked them could I book a home visit.the lady on the phone was bemused and said we dont do home visits.
  • Rather bemused with TS response, actually. Wanted to know why I had called them?? Had to go through everything again from scratch. Like I said, 'bemused'.
