I'm 24 and very happy RE won't get my services on the mexican jobs0

Well I'm still 25 and both pleased and annoyed at the same time that i can't do the job.
Do over 50's see the Nightclub jobs I wonder...?!
Funny story about me turning 25: a few weeks before my 25th birthday (which was in 2008), I was looking at Eurostar ticket for me and the gf to go to Paris again, for my birthday.
Now, Eurostar do 3 ticket types (or they used to, dunno f it's changed) - child (0-16), youth (17-25), and adult (26-) (ages are a rough guess from memory).
I was looking at the prices (on a budget and all that, ya know how it is) and got a little upset that we probably ought to take the sensible decision and not go as i'd be able to get a youth ticket going out, but need a (much more expensive) adult ticket for the return.
I went home, told the gf, who seemed as confused as hell, then she pointed out "You're only 24 right now, not 25. So this'll be your 25th birthday, not your 26th".
Sadness quickly turned to joy at that good news!
I always have to think how old I am if someone asks me, I have to remember what year I was born, what year it is now and work it out like that. Probably because I don't make a big fuss over my birthdays (despite the proposed Paris visit that never did happen...) and never have, even when I was a kid - just another day really with a few cards ad a couple of presents to open, don't really see the point in celebrating getting a year older (unless that extra year means you can do the mexican MS' of course!!)0 -

omg, how weird!!0 -
I sell Eurostar tickets (and other UK/European rail tickets) for a living, and even if ukmonkey was a year older than he was a year older than he thought would still have been ok with a youth ticket. Provided you're eligible on the outward journey its ok to buy a youth ticket. Cheapest tickets are available exactly 120 days before your return journey btw.....
Its occured to me why I wasn't able to see GAP travel agents - I list my occupation as travel agent even though I only sell rail tickets as I work for a small independent travel agency as my full time job!!ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -
I have never seen a nightclub job either.
I'm feeling sorry for myself today, must be the miserable weather.0 -
I was considering a night club job that popped up yesterday on RE, but it said you had to be 20 to 30 years old, so looks like the ageism does cut both ways.0
