Cant see the dept store ones but I have just nabbed two petrol jobs for this weekend, will be fab actually as I'm having to drive from Manchester to Essex to see the male and the two jobs are near his house - so one Sunday am and one Sunday pm I reckon and thats my car near enough filled for the drive home on Monday, as the 'must' purchase items we'd be going out to get anyway! :j

TG is .... wondering why ABAi are releasing so many jobs today, when it's a Bank holiday weekend, and they only give you 3 days to do them in? Don't they realise we might have families and friends and plans for the weekend?

I can't really complain 'cos I've got lots of work from ABAi lately but I wish they'd let you set the job date a bit more in the future, doing them within 3 days sometimes isn't feasible. Having said which, in the past when I've emailed and said I can't do a job in 3 days but will do it on such-and-such a date, they have always been very accommodating.

Totally agree there's something really odd about there 2/3 day policy somone mentioned a while back that they released a job and rebooked it again but it's a bit of a risk - sounds like a job for 3am!

I was just thinking that about the BH weekend, as the last time I did petrol jobs for BP was just before the Easter weekend.

Also wish you could book their jobs in advance, but I guess it doesn't matter to them, as you will pick them up nearer the time if they are still available, or else someone else has done them already so they are happy.

I do like their jobs though, the questionnaires are fine, and the attitude from them in general is pleasant and they aren't too demanding, they treat you like a normal person rather than a minion of a lowly employee like some other companies.

I found this quite funny in the RE game pizza brief:
    Introduction:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is recognised as the world's leading pizza delivery company

    Assignment Requirements:
    - This assignment is for a collection only.

And how awesome does it feel to open up all those envelopes?!

To everyone who requested a pack for React can anyone who hasn't received an email from me let me know in case I missed anyone out. I have told React I know you all as posters here and you are all responsible posters. They did think anyone who cares enough to join a forum to do the job better is exactly what they are looking for.

The other good thing about them is if you take a job say a high quality coffee. Which costs muchos!!! Get it. If you ring them they will try and give you more in the area.

Will you all let me know how you get on with them. Thanks to Josie for recommending them to me.

Please could I have a pack for React? I have PM'd you just now.
    Thank you x

Thanks to those who pointed out the extras involved in the chemist jobs. I wouldn't have got one anyway - which leads me nicely to my next question. Do I really live in the centre of nowhere?

I am stuck in miserable Teesside and am amazed at how ALL the RE jobs seem to be further north (Newcastle way) or further south (millions in Leeds area, but $od all in the middle.

Are there just loads of shoppers here who beat me to the jobs, or are there really no chemists up here?

(not just chemist jobs - there seem to be loads of jobs in the the Leeds area all the time, but not so many here).

Hi Scaredy Cat, who are you registered with? I live near Sedgefield but work in Guisborough so Teesside is on all my searches. I could see 14 chemist jobs today but my OH (same area) could see 35, a lot of these were in Co Durham, but there were 3 in Boro and 1 in Yarm as well. I don't have Leeds on my searches, but do have Newcastle and I never get anything for there which is a shame as I go up a lot. Haven't seen any sort of meal other than the coloured monarch ones in our area for about 4 months though. Hope that helps!

Thanks for that. The Yarm and M'boro ones would be closest but I didn't see them - I guess someone else got there first. I'm actually glad I didn't get one, though, having read the notes ;)

I'm registered with quite a few companies, I think I tried all of those in the first post. I get a reasonable amount of jobs from GR, and a few from a handful of the others. It just seems that RE in particular don't have many jobs in this area - but maybe it's just that I'm not fast enough. Still, even if you added in the 4 local ones you could see, that's still a lot less than the Leeds area is showing.

I don't tend to travel more than about 10-14 miles on average for a job - Sedgefield and Guisborough would both be too far out to be worth my while (unless it was a fantastic fee!)

By the way, nice to say hello to someone local!

I've also rung them and asked them whether I could do a job 5 days later as I couldn't do it before then and they said yes. I think they just want a firm commitment. With jobs being booked well in advance like with other companies, I bet they'd have a lot of cancellations. This way they don't risk as many cancellations because everyone pretty much knows what they're doing in 2 or 3 days.

Just about to do a GYP cancellation myself - no doubt this will be the end of my contract with them. I was getting too fat anyway!
