The Mystery Shopping thread - VII

I would also like some advice please.
After doing a different job today (not the one above) Ii went shopping in town. When I went to pay in Boots, I couldn't find my wallet. I was panicing because I'd been to the cash point and it had £70 in it.
The lady in Boots was just looking up a telephone number for me to call my bank and report my card lost, when my mobile rang. It was work, someone had phoned up to say I'd left my wallet in their shop (my ID card was in my wallet so they'd got the number from that). This was they shop I'd just mystery shopped - one of the staff had found it on the counter.
I went back to the shop and was so pleased that they'd looked after my wallet and the £70 was still there.
Obviously this isn't really relevant to my report but I would like to mention it, or if not I'd like to write to the store manager praising the member of staff concerned.
So - advice please - do I mention this in my report (a member of staff going above and beyond the call of duty), do I email RE for advice or shall I just write to the store directly.
They will get a good report anyway but that's based on the service I received (which was excellent) prior to finding out I'd left my wallet.
Any ideas?Happy New Year :beer:0 -

While she was making my drink, I glanced a look at what she had been reading, it was a memo from the manager saying that they had recently had some poor mystery shopping reports and if things didn't improve, there would be trouble!
Oh the irony!

If you submit your report without mentioning you're not going to get any other chance to report it. I would call RE (they are open today) and ask if there is anywhere in your report that you are allowed to comment on this. If they say yes, stick it in but obviously the store will very likely have remembered you anyway. If they say no then don't mention it all but email the allocator (from the assignment notes) and mention what happened.0 -

If its completely separate from the MS itself I'd write to the manager, they dont need to know you are the mystery shopper and going through RE to praise them would give you away completely if they pass it on.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hi Cats
Oh okay then, but it does depend on you knowing who the clients are
Feel free to PM me if you know any other clinets, all I know are
Catalogue Shop
Green Fuel Shop
Cheap Clothing Shop
Posh Big Shop
Mr Greens Clothing
In your web browser type the following
www.aba-i.co.uk/nl/********* where ****** is the name of the client,
You will be taken to a registration page, fill out the details, then submit. It will know you are previously registered and asked you to confirm your user ID. Click yes and voila, the clinet is added to your account ........
I must be really thick as this doesn't work for me.
I'm typing the address and putting in the name of the store where you've put ***** but it says page load error? The when I try without the nl it lets me log in and then says server error? Have they fixed it?'Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.'

If you report to RE that you absent mindedly  forgot something really important (to you) how do you think they'll view the accuracy of your report
Which you write from memory.....0 -

Good point.
Thanks for your advice everyone, I think I'll leave it out of the report and call back into the shop on Monday with some chocolates or flowers or something for the person concerned.
I am blaming the fact that I forgot my wallet on the fact that I was trying to concentrate on remembering an accurate description of the person who served me, and trying to remember enough about their genuine smile to write a comment...
Thanks again for the advice.Happy New Year :beer:0
