Oh thanks kman. You are one of the people on here always 1st in to help when you can. Another thing I am no spring chicken. I am 59 and note the age limit on these jobs is 60 so amybe soon I wont hardly be able to do any MS's
Guess what my scenarion question is. I am a single parent. There are gonna fall about laughing at that one so I am going to ask GfK to change it.
Mind you I love GfK. For anyne else on here as elderly as me FYI I did a phone forecast pension thing a while ago and discovered if I work till I am 64 and defer my pension I can get a lump sum then of £44,000 ( taxed though but maybe HRW Timmne can advise me on some tax dodges oops evasions he will call it.
Kman are CRI worth the bother. I don't mind paypal as I have it anyway for ISC.
You are not elderly!

im completely new to mystery shopping but i am hoping some of you can please help.
i am registered with grassroots and retaileye (now i have seen the list in here i will be registering with the others). anyway so far i have not been offered any assigments at all - i have been with grassroots at least 2 months. what do i need to do to get some work? i have everything activated and ready to go its just there doesnt seem to be any work in my area???0 -
With Grassroots you will most likely be waiting a long time. I've only been offered four jobs in the last six months or so, and it's fastest finger first, and I was only able to get one of those jobs.
With RE, you should usually see a fair few jobs, just make sure you've set up your defined areas and set a reasonable distance around your areas. You really need at least one city/town in your areas to get offered many jobs. There are very few jobs on Retail Eyes at the moment anyway, I only have 4 available at the moment, and my areas collectively cover most of southern England from Stoke southwards, excluding Devon and Cornwall, and also cover Edinburgh.
Try registering with the others - GAPbuster and TNS will probably be best for getting plenty of jobs - TNS especially if you happen to be aged 18-21, because you can do Think 21 visits for a well-known supermarket, and there are always loads of them.Dan

Apart from their normal high standard of proofreading, I have realised where I am going wrong with RE jobs - I'm using words in the report which are over 4 letters long! It must be stressing their staff out terribly! :eek:Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Could you say you are asking for your daughter/niece/other random friend or relative instead?
I did some calls and visits about pensions and benefits for the elderly. I'm early 30's, but it was ok to say I was getting the info for my Mam as she was getting a bit dizzy due to her age. My Mam is late 50's and very active for her age, so she wasn't impressed when I told her what I'd been saying about her :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -

HP, as Becles said try saying you're enquiring for your daughter/neice.
Not sure on tax, but as I'm 50 later this year, I intend to take my pension from my previous job then, as none of us know what's will happen to us in the future, I don't want to leave taking it until it's too late...
As far as CRI go, they don't get many jobs, but they're not a bad company to work for. As Timmne implied, some of their requirements are a bit odd - the latest phone job states that a photo must be taken, but you can't use a mobile phone to do it - how can you tell what a photo was taken with???0 -
HP you could actually be a single parent, just maybe not how one thinks of a single parent immediately!
My dad turned 60 recently and he went into a state of shock - he doesn't look or act 60 (although I couldn't tell you how a 60 year old looks or acts really!) but for weeks he was expecting to drop through 'old age'!
No ideas on the tax dodge I'm afraid HP, I don't deal with pensions (and being on MSE all day means I rarely even deal with finance at all!)0 -

I'm avoiding CRI too as I have this "funny" feeling about them.
Sorry to be a geek quite often you can tell by looking at the EXIF Data but you can easily overwrite by copy and pasting into a new image. I very much doubt they would actualyl look at this- maybe it's to make sure it's a high quality image but nowadays most phones are0 -
