Yes I saw in the brief about not bringing anyone, but she said it was OK as long as the kids didn't mention mystery shopping lol. They are quite used to spending weekend in car showrooms, so should be OK. I have been reading up on the cars that I'm asking about, having to check with my OH what some of the abbrieviation means.

best bet is not to tell the kids that is what you are doing lol, some dealers ive been to have kids areas though so you can leave them to play there.

check a few online only sites for prices too

autobytel, buyacar etc and bring these prices as long as a phrase i heard quite often was have you done your homework then ? id just smile and say yes, it also gives them a, an indication you are serious about buying, and b. a target they have to try and beat. unless you want a barrage of calls after too, you may want to accidently get the last number of your mobile no wrong too  i made this mistake on a few and still get calls now 2 weeks later

I never tell the kids what we're doing. LOL just realised how that sounded! I haven't told them what mystery shopping is, and try not to take the older one if I'm doing anything strange, as she is likely to say something along the lines of why are we going in another post office when we've been in 4 already.

But looking at cars is a fairly normal activity for us, so think they will not suspect anything is amiss. I'm doing one as a practise on Friday, then will do the other 4 at the weekend. I've looked up the first car, will carry on with the rest tomorrow.
  • Well, after my mess up with forgetting about my GFK call, I had a lovely email saying they had rescheduled for today, so I have managed to do the job now and I LOVE GFK ;):D
Got my MS day tomorrow, quite looking forward to it as I get to drive my new zafira for the first time - bit scared too as I am useless at parking lol!!!

Can anyone tell me roughly how many shops Abai has. I'm only signed up to three and was wondering if there are more as I seem to recall someone mentioning petrol on Abai.
  • I have just looked at my pizza notes for gap and am a bit confused also with the entry reimbursement + meal reimb + fee = lots more than before ;) Anyone done one or emailed them about this already?

EDIT - I am not allowed pineapple or half & half :(

I've got 3, but 1 of them is a petrol one. I only had 1 until a few days ago, when I emailed them (on the advice of people on here) and asked if there were any other clients, and they added 2 more for me.

So you must have 1 that I haven't, if you haven't got any petrol shops. If it's any consolation, there have been no jobs avaible for this shop yet, so you've not missed out.

I've got a department store, catalogue shop and the aforementioned petrol shop.

The lady I contacted was very helpful, and was kind enough to say that my reports for the department store had been very good and detailed which was nice of her.

Sounds like we have the same assignment!

With regards to ABAI, I just emailed and got more added (petrol/catalogue/discount home type store/cheap designer fashion shop) - but still not had a job from them even though I have reserved visits they always go before I get there or the one job I did see had to be done within 2 days of accepting job and I could only do it on the 3rd day after

When I see jobs on ABA-i, they always need to be done within two days of accepting the job. When I return to the site two days before I can do them, they're usually gone :( I'd love to be able to reserve the visit 5 days before!
