Axminster carpets

Well, for 15 years we had an axminster carpet in our hall, stairs and landing and it started looking tatty after about 12 years. It was a turkish pattern.
So, we decided to get a modern, light coloured carpet. It was a farce, we went to Carpet Right, first time they came there was a dark mark all the way down the carpet. Second time they came they didnt have enough carpet. Third time the bit they bought didnt match the bit already down:mad:
Anyway, after about 1 year it started looking tatty - I guess you get what you pay for in carpets.
We have decided to bite the bullet and as it looks pretty awful now after 3 years go for an axminster carpet again. We quite like the Brintons range. But its so expensive. Anyone any MSE ideas on where to buy please?

Hi you may not be anywhere near Axminster in Devon but they have a factory outlet there where the carpets are quite a bit cheaper. Not sure if got a website but doubt it.0

Many thanks. Ive had a good google - our local shop wanted £65 per sq metre for the carpet  John Lewis want £50 psq. Ive found a couple on line at £37 psm and also a place with end of rolls at £25 per sq metre. Amazing.
Ill have to get the area measured up for the pattern (you have to allow for the wastage because of the pattern), Ill check with the end of roll people to see if they have enough in the one we want.0
