Wow I think this might be what is happening to me.

I recently bought my 13yo son a new payg mobile from Orange, through Argos. He keeps getting missed calls and one of these left an answerphone message requiring us to "call back as a matter of urgency, quoting reference blah blah" the reference part was an automated voice recording. He said he was from Buchanan Clark and Wells. Since this is a brand new number I decided it was unwise to ring back and researched the company name. I'm so glad I did, and have added the two numbers that have been calling my son at about 9:50am and 7pm to the reject list while I figure out what I will say when eventually I answer the phone on my son's behalf. Hopefully they'll get our name wrong too otherwise I have no idea what to do.

Trouble is now I am wondering whether it was really Orange who called him and spoke to me two weeks after he got the phone to set up security settings, cos that was a Scottish chap too  . I'm pretty sure it only involved his SIM card details and security PIN for contacting them, and nothing to do with my bank details.
