New paypal code! (Merged threads)

Wow, I've just received this coupon from eBay. I have never been sent one in the past and always thought there must have been some sort of mystic ritual you had to go through, that I wasn't aware of, before receiving them.

Nah - they're probably just dribbling them out or something. I got one and I've only sold a few (~10?) things on ebay.

If you go to your ebay account and click on the preferences link in the my account you can click on the email tab and it should let you tick a box to recieve promotions and offers also go to your paypal account and tick on PROFILE top right hand corner then click on notifications and check the box for recieving email promotions :0)

Not sur eif it makes a difference if you have a premeiere account or personnel account i have both and recieved the email in my premiere but it won't let me use the code from my personnel paypal account?

Just curious but do eBay ever come along and change these? I can't imagine ever ticking the box to say it was ok for them to phone me with offers, yet when I just checked (after being prompted by your post), it's ticked. :mad:

Im not a power seller. dunno how they pick. I have 3 accounts and its only my main selling account that has been sent this.

I have three accounts- one is a big main account ( power seller ) and the other two are accounts I use rearely. The two accounts I hardily use both got the CHEERS voucher but my main account didnt. I personally think its just a bit random - although saying that it is the second time I have recieved vouchers for the accounts i rarely use- never recieved any vouchers for my main account.

were your two other accounts thatyou rarely use premeire accounts or just personnel? I maybe need to upgrade my personnel acount as i got the voucher on my main account and i want to use the code a few times lol

It was probably ticked when your opened your account and you never realised it.

Excellent, the code CHEER works, I had an item in my basket on my main id and the p&p was 3.50, it took off the £2.50. So this only must work for certain accounts.
