Titan Vegetable Slicer

Just seen this on a shopping channel.

Looks great, can peel onions the lot. Slice cheese.

Thing is its £20! SO dunno whether its really worth the money!

Is it worth it or does anyone know a place to get one cheap?

heres a link to one.

I am betting it would end up in the back of the cupboard.

Most things are better done by hand or you can get the individual items for a lot cheaper than that!

If you want to peal a tomato scald it in boiling water first and the peel falls off, peeling onions would be a nightmare with this, much easier by hand! Slicing cheese thinly - you can get a cheese slicer cheaply.

In other words - I would not touch it with the proverbial bargepole.

I saw this demo'd whilst flicking through the selly-telly channels and was tempted.

Then I thought £26 (£19.95 + £5.95p&p) for a potato peeler was a lot of money because that's all I'd end up using it for.

I bought one from http://www.idealworld.tv/HomePage.aspx?PageId=73 at £14.99 + 3.95 P&P. I use it everyday and it really does what it says it does.
