The chairs at our venue are ok - green velvet round top ones. Just wondered what your opinions are on chair covers? We'll need 120 so at around £3 each, its not something im jumping into lightly!
If anyone has had them/ordered them, how much are you paying out of interest?
Thank ladies

a short answer NO.
I decided against it as money was running low and I can honestly say I never even noticed on the day. In fact it wasn't until a few days later when another bride to be was talking about them that I realised I hadn't noticed. Not one of your guests will think 'where's the chair covers?'! LOL!It all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0 -
We've decided that we'll get them - but only if we have enough money left over. To us they're a nice touch but not a necessity. We were quoted £4.50 a chair but have since found somewhere that do it for £3.00 a chair.0

it depends i think...
If you are paying a lot of money for the venue, and you can afford it, you might as well pay a bit more for the chair covers to transform the overall look of the room as well. No point paying 2K for a wedding venue and have ugly looking chairs at the reception.
however, if you cant afford it or budget is tight, then NO. its better to forgo the chair covers and spend your money on something else.
cant you leave the chair covers until the end and see if you have money left over,..then get them?
generally, i decide on this basis: in 5 years down the road, will i look back and regret getting/not getting the venue/chair covers/ dress/veil/etc0 -
We're having them but only because we felt the civil ceremony room needed something to make it look more special. It is basically just a conference room with red conference style chairs .
The hotel have said that they will carry the covered chairs through to the main room afterwards so that we don't have to pay double. However if they hadn't been able to do this there is no way we would have bothered for the main room. It will look special enough with all the tables done up, and as the chairs were red they wouldnt look out of place with out dark red colour theme!
We got 20% off for booking before end of feb so will be paying approx £250 for 90 chair covers. This included the company bringing them and setting them up and then collecting again afterwardsMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
To be honest I have never really taken any notice about the chair I have sat on at weddings........ as long as it doesnt wobble ;-)0
