in 2005 i got a mortgage through a broker that was all well and good told me what i basically wanted to hear ect i found a house and had to push the mortgage through as people wanted to move asap so done all my paperwork ect. 4months after being in my house mortgage shot up by £200 pm so read paperwork ect and noticed a thing called libor rate didnt know a thing about this so rung the mortgage company who were future mortgages and asked them they said was a rate that was different from the bank of england ect. so got in contact with broker who swears he told me about it ect. so left it for a bit 5months later mortgage goes down £50pm thought nice1 then at the begining of my 2nd year it jumped from £650pm to £875pm this is on a mortgage of £146500 so i spoke to ombudsman and opened up a complaint was all going through ect broker contacted me asking why i was doing this so explained that i felt i had been mis sold the mortgage it carried on with ombudsman and mortgage kept rising by the end of my 2nd year i was paying £920 into the 3rd and final year i was paying £1150 pm and it was crippling me built up big debts trying to keep the house ect. then ombudsman got back to me claiming he had covered his tracks when selling me this mortgage and nothing i could do. since then the broker has unfortunatly died and i found out from him getting me into future mortgages he got 4k could i try and re open this case?? i now have a £155000 mortgage with the abbey and pay £760 so shows the amount of money i lost over the 3yrs

The £4000 was his fee, rightly or wrongly its been investigated and they said there is nothing they can do, put it to bed and get on with your life."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

It would have been detailed on your KFI and mortgage offer that you signed.0

The ombudsman has investigated and has found that the mortgage wasn't missold. This really is the end of the line unless you actually took the broker to court.
Future mortgages are a sub-prime lender so I guess there was some issue with your employment or finances or the broker wouldn't have chosen that lender. At the end of the day it looks like you wanted the mortgage and the broker got it for you. Only in retrospect are you unhappy with the deal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
