I have a £10 Clubcard Deals token expired 28/2/09.
Is it still useable somehow?
(I had club card vouchers worth £39.50 expiring 28/2/09 as well, but they still worked to order online)

It doesn't say that?

I am talking about Deals Tokens, not Clubcard Vouchers.0 -
You can still get Deals tokens credited back I believe without too much hassle, particularly when they have only just expired. Don't think it's mentioned on the website as they don't want people relying on it.
Why not send it back with a note 'further to my telephone conversation, I am enclosing my Deals token which I understand can be added back to my account. I am afraid I overlooked it and it has only just expired so I was advised to return it for recrediting to my account, many thanks...'
Or words to that effect. No need to actually have a 'telephone conversation' - just refer to one and hope for the best.
P.S. I have to ask, when you say you used £39.50 in expired vouchers to 'order online'...you do mean to order £158-worth of Deals I hope? Not just to order something from Tesco at face-value £39.50? Expired Tesco vouchers normally work for a short while after expiry (which is deliberate I suspect, to avoid extra work for them in dealing with queries) - but please tell me you got £158 for your vouchers not £39.50 in value?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When my vouchers get near to expiry, I order one £2.50 (£10 value) 'days out' token with each one. The balance is then recycled onto my account, giving me another two years to come up with a useful way to spend them.
I've got £480 of vouchers, £1920 worth off deals, but I haven't yet come up with a good way to spend them.
I think £1920 is not enough for a holiday for 3? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the holidays are all generally very overpriced?0 -

Sounds like a good idea, I may do this later in the year with some of my vouchers.
Last year we went to Center Parcs in Normandy with French Life for a week and for six of us it cost £2000+ in CC Deals (sorry I can't recall the exact cost as I never notice it so much when paying in Deals! It was peak time Summer Holidays).
As an example, I searched the French Life website just now for Normandy for 4 people for a week in April which gave Normandy Center Parcs as an option, coming in at around £1200 not including travel. I see there are only 3 of you but you'd still need a 2 bed apartment I guess? You could also use CC Deals for Eurotunnel to get to France (then drive) but we chose to travel by ferry & car this time - which cost real money but suited us better.

There's also Siblu and Individual Travellers which are cheaper options than Cosmos, I have not used those tour operators though. Depends where you want to go of course but most forum chat I have seen about Tesco-paid holidays seems to think Cosmos is very expensive and not worth the Deals.PRIVATE 'PCN'? You can recycle your vouchers a bit better. The way I was doing it is if I have 3 vouchers of £16 each, I'd spend £2.50 off each, spending £7.50 in total, leaving me with 3 * £13.50 credited back on.
But actually you can add all three vouchers to your basket even though each is individually worth more than the total, meaning you only spend £2.50 of the total, not off each voucher.Last year we went to Center Parcs in Normandy with French Life for a week and for six of us it cost £2000+ in CC Deals (sorry I can't recall the exact cost as I never notice it so much when paying in Deals! Eurotunnel is I think a good deal. We took it last year but we never plan in advance so didn't use the voucher. We also went to centerparcs, the cost was about €400 I think for 3 nights at Easter weekend (peak time Iwould guess). £2000 seems an awful lot for centerparcs. There's also Siblu and Individual Travellers which are cheaper options than Cosmos, I have not used those tour operators though. I was thinking of Virgin, but I had a look at Bali and it was coming to about £1000 - £1200 per person. Hotels in Bali are very cheap, the flights are the expensive part. Go in July and you could be looking at £800-£900, so I guess it's not too bad. Flights start at about £500 off-peak, so that's less good. You can apparently book 7 nights accommodation, but a longer duration flight, and book the rest of the nights privately.
Sell the vouchers on ebay and you'll get half their deals value.0 -
