Can I be debt free by the end of the year??

I know lots of people have started threads pretty much the same, but I need something to motivate myself!:rotfl:

I have had a few LBMs over the last year but due to circumstances have not been able to much about it! Too much rent, not enough money etc etc!

Anyhow, now I sorted that out and pay a lot less rent....... so it begins......:T

I've worked out what I owe, and how much I need to pay a month (including interest payments) to clear the lot by the end of the year. It's scary! It's pretty much negative every month, in that I don't have enough to meet my ideal payments so maybe it's a little unrealistic, but I have got a second job which I've not included in the figures, as back up and a little money to pay for petrol and food! Hey, if I don't push myself it wont happen!!

I'll be off to a great start at the end of March as I get a nice bonus from work and a bit of a payrise, which in the current economic climate is lucky lucky lucky! I have decided I wont be too harsh on myself if I don't meet my "ideal" payment for something it's just there to see what I could achieve if I set my mind to it.

I'd like to say I'll ebay some stuff, but I am ashamed to admit that I am quite materialistic, which probably got me in this mess in the first place, but there are some things I just cannot part with. Maybe that's silly I don't know. Maybe I'll hunt through my parent's loft next weekend..

I'm not sure if I can blog daily as I do too many hours! But I will try and put on a progress report as often as I can..

Thank you for reading!!

Anyway, here goes.... wish me luck!!:D

Post your SOA, www.makesenseofcards.co.uk and we can see if there is anything that can be shaved off your monthly expenditure,. Also go to www.whatsthecost.co.uk and make sure you are paying off the correct date in the correct order. It will also give you your debt free date, so you will be able to see if what you are trying to achieve is doable - never know might even surprise you, and give you a date before the end of the year.

    Good luck with your journey
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:
