Is it too late if.....

I've just been talking to friend about my debt problems (not the amount tho ) and they opened up and said they were also having some problems regarding an old debt with Barclaycard.

The debt has been passed on to a debt collection agency and my friend has been paying them monthly and has just £150 outstanding.

My question is... is it too late for them to request a CCA as they have been paying the debt (the debt is from years ago)? The total amount the DCA are requesting is the total Barclaycard was owed.

Obviously its quite late in the day but I just wondered if there was anything they could now do to negotiate a F&F:confused:

My friend isn't denying the debt but knowing what DCA's pay for these debts it would be nice to negotiate something...

Thanks for the quick reply RAS! :T

I've just rang the number and it sounds like Reefbridge? He said he's not got any documentation from them just a phone number and a reference number to quote when he calls them to make monthly payment.

I've searched Reefbridge on here but couldn't find anything.... anyone heard of them?

Yes thats them!! The last two numbers are different but I guess that must be the direct dial number.

What are they like to deal with? Any hints or tips appreciated!

Just a quick bump for this!

I've searched here and found they aren't the best DCA but just wondered if anyone else had anything to add?

    Thank you! :)

If it was me I would be tempted to pay them off and get rid!

    (for that amount anyway)

They are a bunch of bar-stewards.
