Threat by a loan Company
I have a loan with a well know loan company and due to cash pressure I was not able to make the February Payment. As I expected I received the Default notice and around half a dozen calls many of which i could not take becuase I was in meetings etc.
On Thursday, I wrote 2 cheques and posted them to the Loan company, 1 for the outstanding amount & 1 for £20.00 to cover the default charge. End of problem I thought especially as I had brought the account up to date in just 3 weeks. Late the same day I received a further call which once again I could not take so it went to my voice mail. The content of the call was quite alarming, telling me that If I did not contact me that day, they were coming to my house, I presume to try and get the money from me.
I know I was in the wrong but can Loan Companies actaully make these sort of threats. I do not take kindly to threats and wandered whether I had some sort of redress?
