RMA Debt collection agency

Hi all,
I'm new to this site and I have been looking for advice regarding an Amex debt of mine RMA Debt Collection Agency have got now.
I agreed with RMA quite a while back a payment that I would pay each month, I have stuck by that and have paid the agreed amount on time each month then yesterday I received an email from RMA with an income and expenditure form attached asking me to fill it in and send it back to them within 7 day with last month’s bank statement.
I was absolutely livid about that and after initially going through all those intrusive and embarrassing questions they want to repeat the process again.
What I’m not sure about is, is RMA's request for the same information AGAIN something I have to adhere to? And what would happen if I totally refuse to give it again?
Regards to all

They have no right to demand statements or any details like that.
Provide the info if you like, but if your circumstances have not changed then I would just write and tell them this.
You could add to the letter something like:
As you are aware, "pressurising debtors to pay in full, in unreasonably large instalments, or to increase payments when they are unable to do so" is considered by the OFT to be an example of an oppressive and unfair practice and may constitute harassment.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi cognito,
I make a regular monthly payment to RMA via CCCS who send them my budget details after each annual review. Are you with CCCS or Payplan or do you do your own DMP?
I certainly would not send them anything other than what CCCS send to them after the review which is my current budget and list of creditors indicating proportionate payments.0 -
Hi guys,
Thanks for taking time out.
I make my payments directly to RMA. I think I am coming up to the 12 month mark now with my repayments so maybe that's why they want my bank statement and me to fill in a income and expenditure form again.
To be honest I don't really want to go through all that again but what I'm worried about is that if I refuse RMA's request will I get in to trouble?0 -

As others have said, you don't need to send them bank statements. I was asked a few times (one creditor asked me to send a bank statement when I made a F&F and I refused - that's personal information).
I would suggest you do fill in the I&E as they may then start adding charges and cancel your agreement.
I do understand how you feel but for a little bit of hassle, it is worth it in the end.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
