I wanna new comfortable office chair.

Can anybody recommend an office type chair that is kind to one's back?

I can't sit at our desktop PC in the spare room for very long without my back aching.

SHMBO has also noticed it as she is doing an online course presently and is spending a lot of time sat at the PC as well.

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest, I would find it acceptable paying for one that does the job.

Cheers guys.

There's some good buys here to match all budgets: http://www.office-chair-uk.co.uk/site/915533/product/GGI-2424

Or there's here for something less expensive: http://www.onlinedesks.co.uk/acatalog/Orthopaedic_Chairs.html

Or there's: http://www.viking-direct.co.uk/emptySpecialLinks.do?ID=furniture6000 for something less specialised and a little friendlier to the wallet ;)

Chairs fwiw seem to be split into different categories, usually based around how long you spend at your desk. If you spend all day then you need an 'intensive' chair, if you only spend half a day then you could possibly get away with a 'mesh' chair, it all seems to depend upon the shape of your body to be honest. I've had a few and I've yet to find a totally comfortable chair that matches the first one I had. Unfortunately for me, I used to spend a lot of time at my desk and it was considered to be a 'occasional' chair which meant that the gas lift portion spilt oil on the carpet and would no longer function as it should. So unless you want an oily stain on your carpet, buy a good chair ;)

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
