Dear All
I have just been reading a report by a lawyer named Carmel Butler that was prepared for Parliament as part of its investigation into the behaviour of the Banks.
Its contents have been widely reported on other forums but is strangely missing here and yet it is of enormous importance to us all.
In essence, it informs Parliament that many of the Banks have assigned our mortgages to offshore entities without our knowledge and deliberately before the transaction is registered at HM Land Registry.
It goes as far as to state that such action contravenes criminal law!!
Is anyone here aware of this report.

Dear Mark Davis and All
Re: Carmel Butler - Evidence to Treasury Select Committee - Bankingcrisis
Here is a link to the Parliament website where you can find the Carmel Butler evidence, but just in case the link does not work, I've also given some directions on how to find it.
http://www.parliament.uk/parliamentary_committees/treasury_committee/bankingcrisis.cfm
If the link doesn't work then please - try this:
Go to http://www.parliament.uk
in SEARCH box type the following: Treasury committee banking crisis
You will then see a list of further links.
Click on: UK Parliament - Bankingcrisis (it is vital to type it exactly as you see it here NO gap all ONE word for Bankingcrisis)
You should now be on page: 2009 SESSIONS AND WRITTEN EVIDENCE.
Carmel Butler Written Evidence is Memo no. 107. Click on the group containing this number and it will download as PART 3 of the Written evidence.
Scroll down this long document until you find Carmel Butler Written evidence at page 186 (even though the index page states that the Carmel Butler evidence is at page 192).
I have to say they do not make it easy to locate !0 -
