Sorry to hijack the thread Ms London. Really enjoyed reading your debt free log, I have often wondered how you managed to do it. Well done! Very envious especially of the trip you are going on soon.

Check out my new signature. I only have £2,354.65 saved so far - it was more, but had to buy flights, passport, visa, YHA membership & other bits of pieces (relating to my trip) so have taken this out of my travel fund.. I also had to dip into them this month when I overspent (grr!!).

I will be able to put another £1,000 when my cheque clears next week, and £1,000 for March, April, May, June & July paydays (providing I keep my 2nd job, otherwise it'll be £900 a month)..

I might also be booking a few internal flights & a trip with "Adventurer Tours Australia" before I get there, so that will come out of the fund too.

I think I'll end up with about £9,000 - we shall see though!!! I just wish it was Aug already!!!

Thanks for all of your posts, its really sweet, I dont think ive done any better than the others struggling with debt!!
    xx

  • Hi Ms_London,

I'm fairly new so I was wondering how you'd done it too - its great to hear your story.

How long did it take you?

You are really helpful to everyone and I am (even now) hoping you'll pop in and say hello from an internet cafe in Oz once in a while!
