Morning guys, hope everyone is enjoying the start to the weekend. I have a busy but nice day planned, as am catching up with an old friend today, then doing last gym mystery shop so a free class, then i am hitting the town with my OH and some friends, prob won't spend much money on alcohol as have a busy day tomorrow too!!
Fay, i have now repotted my courgette type plants as they had grown rather big and the root growth on them is fantastic! Doesn't look like my lettuce seeds are going to come up, its been almost three weeks and there is no sign of life.
So, to my list:
-Done daily scratch cards
-Completed O.U unit
-Have put courgette seeds into their own little pots now as they are doing so well
-I will catch up with a friend later at local supermarket cafe and get my drink to stretch a long time!
-will take bottles to bottle bank and also get nectar points added to my card
-Will use free gym membership and finally finish last mystery shop for it, fed up with it now, especially as its a bit of a treck from where i live and located on a very busy road with lots of roundabouts!!
-I will finish off O.U chapter, have about ten more pages to read
-Off out drinking tonight, but will stick to only a few drinks and alternate it with diet cokes
-Lunch from storecupboards, so no doubt some more wierd food concoctions
-Check foreign student's room is sorted for tomorrow as we have a new one arriving
-Clean bathrooms ready for new student arriving
-Put away dry clothes that i have got away with not ironing!!
-Sort through emails
-Do any surveys
-Also received my £50 of M & S vouchers in the post, didn't really believe i would get them, so it was a much needed and appreciated set of vouchers!
Think thats it for me today, as although i will have an enjoyable day, i won't have much time to catch up with a lot of my work, but having fun should come before all my work!!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I also want to try and plant some flowers in my tubs in the garden - I usually just buy them all grown each summer but can anyone tell me any bulbs/seeds/whatever I could plant now that will grow in time for summer
-I'm not a bit green fingered. Iusually buy lillies cos they're my faves

Hiya
If you like lillies you can buy them now really cheaply as bulbs and plant them into your tubs. They will flower year after year so even if you think oh they are a bit expensive then they will more than pay for themselves but to be honest - the ones you planted should come back anyway?
If you like you can then plant some lower/scampery things in your tubs like violas or something like that (usually cheap in B &Q in big trays) then you can have the pretty violas all summer and the lillies will pop through the violas and flower later in the summer for you.
Other things that are good are marigolds, violas, pansies, hardy geraniums, ivy, - there will be lots of trays of beddin in B and Q and places soon. Summer geraniums are good as well, lobiliea etc. But its a bit early for those at the mo.
i like violas because they are easy to deadhead (then you get more flowers) and have alovey cheery habit - they are easy to plant and you can easly have a whole tub of lillies come through them later in the year and they should still be flowering.
Just think of the liillies you like (colour wise) and think about other lower plants that will look nice with them. If you want scented stuff then there are other plants that would be good. Or you can combine a tub with some herbs and have your lillies underneath if you want to be super DFW and use the herbs then appreciate your lillies.
If you get stuck PM me I could (probably have) gone on for hours!!!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
