Well I watched it at 8.00, before the Frost repeat and I am not on Grampian?
Often though the Trevor McDonald programmes get repeated in the early hours of the morning.0 -
It is repeated at 4.25am in the morning 11/12/04 (later tonight for some
) but this is the Granada area, I would check if you are on SKY or Freeview if you can get other regions.
It's only a suggestion.
But definitely on in the Granada region.
Hope this help's some that missed it.

Oh No - watched the first few secs, felt vaguely sorry for the couple getting shouted at and turned over to Eastenders.....ooops!!
Although in my defence, you ARE rather cute when you're angry Martin....

Actually the clip that was shown with Martin giving them a row was a bit out of context. In fact Martin was quite upset when he did have to tell the couple that they had no money and there was no quick fix. The editing didn't show the obvious sympathy that Martin was feeling for them when you saw the whole conversation.0 -
It was upsetting to see how bad things were for the couple on the programme, I have to say I shed a few tears for them.
I tell everybody I can about the MSE website and Martin's book. Whether they want to check things out or not is up to them but I do find that some people have blinkers on when it comes to spending on credit cards and carrying debt etc. I know of people who although they realise they spend too much, on credit can't stop themselves. When I tell them about the MSE website they seem interested but just pay it lip service and when you see them next they are still going on about their debts and making ends meet etc??? You can take a horse to water and all that...“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -
Just happened to be up and seeing this post. It almost time for it to be shown again this morning.

I saw the programme last night ans felt quite sick at the thought that the family would lose their house.
It was even sadder that the house had been left to them so they had started out with no debts.
What was quite revealing was when the wife said they had invited lots of people for christmas so NEEDED new kitchen dining room etc. Also winced when I saw the £18K car needed to pull the caravan ( just bought recently).
It seems they plunged headlong into debt thinking that the house would bail them out and it really scares me that so many people seem to feel this way.It certainly put me off spending anything even though I have budgeted."This site is addictive!"

My boyfriend and I were horrified at them having to buy a car to pull the caravan. We realised that in our little rented house with two (small) cars we are actually better off than those poor people. Martin evidently had an awful lot of sympathy for them and really was trying to help them - kicking them in the direction of the CCCS etc.
I'm almost evangelical about this site. I love it, as it has helped me so much sort out my finances so far. Most of my friends think that I'm loopy, but my best friend and her husband are coming round to my way of thinking!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0 -

Sorry! Well, they could have at least bought a 2nd hand car. Or have never bought the caravan in the first place. ;D ;D ;D We always seem to get stuck behind slow moving caravans (and the cars that pull them!) on roads. ;DSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0
