Down shifting, Basic - saver - value lines huge price increases

Have others noticed that some of these products have shot up in price considerably!!

Tuna doubled in a year! Tin tomatoes nearly doubled. Skimmed milk shot up.

Some stores have less of fruit n veg value bag range.

Is it that the commodity price has risen, stores copy each other and squeeze more out of us or they are compensating themselves in people down shifting!
