That website is another nutter with a keyboard site.

This sentence would describe most of us posters on this forum.

Every raging commie since time began has predicted the fall of capitalism, but it doesn't make them some sort of oracle.

Perhaps theres a capitalist oracle that can help us find it again , its usually the the last place you look.

Elvis must have moved it away from lennon again.

Coincidentally the website has just posted an article about Googles powers of blocking.

Can this block actually overide an individual website or would this block have to be done by this website.

An indivisdual website cant block itself from Google Trends because all Trends does is rank what search terms are bieng entered into Google's search sites.

Google are very tight lipped about any human intervention into their results, whether thats removing a search term from Google Trends or artifically boosting a site ranking in the standard organic search results.

You found this thread because you were logged in. If you were not you would not be able to find this particular thread or post contrary to what the website says on logout.

Log out on another thread and you wont get the message you will be returned to the thread you were reading. Try it.

Just tried it and it behaves the same irresepctive of the thread.

I reckon the behaviour you are experiencing is due to your local machine not correctly amending/deleting the site cookie upon your log-out, although I cant think of why that would actually happen.

Search facility anomaly for this thread as a member logged in I can find it.

As a non member or member not logged in and searching for this thread it seems impossible to find.

Anyone like to try and see what you get on certain Keywords searches.

Perhaps blocks are being used for certain words to suppress information on the forum if so needed. Which seems odd. This post did not even show up in the Todays Posts link.
Or when I searched again when Logged in and you see the link as New Posts.

    Anyone suspicious.

    What?

You cannot read any posts in this section without being logged on.

Or should I go and get my tin foil hat?

Can you log-out and find this thread in the search engine on this forum above.

No. But I wouldnt expect to find any threads behind a log-in wall in those results because they are generated by Google and googlebot wont be able to spider webpages that require password access to view.

I havent fiddled with a vbulletin board for a while so Im not sure how their own search engine works these days, but password-locked threads used to be visable to any searcher, and the normal behaviour would be to present a user with a log-in script if they clicked a link that required password access.
