You need to be careful with your advice, I have it on good authority (a solicitor) that is not true. The NRP is only liable for the amount shown on the liability order.
Bailiff costs contractually agreed between the CSA and the bailiff, the NRP is not a party to that contract. Either the court makes an order requiring the NRP to pay bailiff fees, or there must be legislation setting out a schedule of bailiffs fees the NRP must pay.
I had a bailiff call at a friend's house in the Home Counties looking for me. He left a note threatening to commit burglary by leaving a note saying he will "return with a locksmith" unless I pay sums of money.
Their home insurer had legal cover against burglary and appointed solicitors. The policy terms required him obtain a crime number and police were called. The bailiff said in his police taped interview that he was following his training and the document was standard bailiff procedure, the police transferred the investigation to the Organised Crime Unit.
Suddenly the police dropped their investigation. The solicitor filed a complaint to the IPCC and the investigating officer was suspended from duty for Perverting the Course of Justice and Assisting an Offender contrary to the Criminal Law Act 1967.
The solicitor made a further complaint to the Ministry of Justice because the NRP is not liable for bailiff’s fees for unpaid CSA. If an NRP is liable for bailiffs fees it must be either a) legislated or b) agreed between the bailiff and NRP or c) a court orders the NRP to pay bailiffs fees.
If i wanted to, I could claim damages from the CSA because their bailiff tried to cheat me of money by making a false statement in that he can lawfully burgle a property.0 -

They are Herbie21.
They need to update their site as this quoted on it is incorrect. The PWC can opt out if they are on benefits and there will be absolutely no reduction in benefits and no need to explain why they are opting out
Up until recently, it was the case that those parents with care, on benefit, had no option but to use the CSA….but even this rule has been relaxed slightly and PWC can now “opt out”…..but they could face losing 40% of their benefit unless they can prove “good cause”, ie: that either they, or the child, are at risk or harm etc.0 -
No, they are liable for bailiff costs too - my ex has had numerous visits from the bailffs and they took their share of costs and I got nothing!! So actually they do get bailiff costs to pay on top.0

They charge £10.00 per letter and about £100.00 per visit.0
