Swap shop freebies in oxford

Hi Guys,

Im not sure if this is in the correct section, but have just heard of ths:

It's time for the monthly Orinoco Swap Shop again. Bring along any unwanted
items, leave them with us, and someone else will take them away. Household and
kitchen items, clothing, books, videos and DVDs, small items of furniture.
Bullingdon Community Centre, Peat Moors (just off The Slade), Headington, from

The Orinoco Swap Shop takes place on the second Saturday of the month from 11am until 2pm. You may bring along any usable items that you no longer want and someone will take them away. Altrernatively, just turn up and take something. There is no need to actually 'swap' anything and we've often thought that 'dump or grab' would be a better name but Swap Shop somehow stuck - I blame Noel Edmonds and Kieth Chegwin (for many things).

Swap Shops are fabulous, just imagine a car boot sale, but indoors, where you don't have to hang around, where no money changes hands and everyone is cheerful (most of the time). Every month, a tonne of stuff comes in through the door and goes straight out again.

The Orinoco Swap Shop isn't the only one in Oxford. There's one at the Headington Community Centre in the third Saturday of the month and one in Barton on the fourth Saturday.
